Shaq says son doesn't need to train with Kobe
Despite the generous offer from his former teammate, Shaquille O'Neal isn't interested in having Kobe Bryant train his son.
"(Shareef) don't need to (train with Bryant)," O'Neal told Ananth Pandian of CBS Sports. "He's really good," O'Neal said. "Way better than I was (at his age). (Shareef) has a lot of colleges looking at him and I am very, very proud of him."
Shareef, 16, currently ranks as the No. 18 player in the class of 2018, according to ESPN, and has expressed interest in attending LSU, Arizona, UCLA, and Georgetown.
While Shaq has stated that he "doesn't hate" Kobe, one has to believe that their long-standing beef likely factored into the Big Aristotle's decision.
Shaq stated this summer that he would prefer that his son attend one of Kentucky, Michigan State, or LSU, as all three programs have coaches capable of preparing him for the next level.
