Everyone's favorite bruising Australian point guard is getting a feature film made about him.

Milwaukee Bucks floor general Matthew Dellavedova and his manager, Bruce Kaider, have joined forces with two Los Angeles-based producers to have a movie made about his life and career. It will cover his childhood growing up in the Australian state of Victoria, the process making it to the NBA, and his NBA championship win with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2015.

"I am honored that Bruce, Zachary (Green), and Jason (Shuman) think enough about my journey to turn it into a feature film," Dellavedova told Fox Sports Australia's Olgun Uluc. "I am thrilled to be working with this incredible group to tell my story to inspire kids around the world to dream big and that hard work and perseverance pays off."

Filming is set to begin in the Land Down Under in 2017, with Dellavedova listed as an executive producer.

"Everyone dreams of the one-in-a-million chance of playing in the NBA, but this blue-collar kid actually achieved it," Green said. "I am looking forward to bringing his story to the big screen."

The project, which was originally entitled "Final Four," had been discussed for well over a year, although it was undetermined if it would end up being a film or scripted series. It was also going to be loosely based on Dellavedova's life, rather than a purely autobiographical script.

Actors Woody Harrelson and Nick Nolte were even reportedly approached to take part.
