Mavericks' Devin Harris: No longer needs walking boot

Harris (toe) saw a specialist Monday and was cleared to shed his walking boot, Eddie Sefko of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Analysis:

Harris has been able to do some limited individual work at the start of November, but he was only allowed to take his boot off for a short duration of time. His sprained right toe has now made enough progress to the point where he no longer needs the additional support, so Harris appears to be one step closer to a return. He's yet to be given any sort of timetable, but considering he's yet to take any sort of contact, it could still be a week or two before he's available to take the court.
