Pelicans' Tyreke Evans: Indicates he'll be back by mid-December

Evans (knee) recently indicated in a Snapchat message that he plans to return to the court between late November or mid-December, Scott Kushner of the New Orleans Advocate reports.

Analysis:

Evans' projected target timetable is roughly in line with what Pelicans GM Dell Demps suggested last week. The combo guard has already resumed participating in on-court activities, but until he's cleared to take full contact, the Pelicans likely won't have a formal date for his season debut. After Evans required three procedures on his right knee in a nine-month span, the Pelicans are expected to use him cautiously once he's back to full health. He'll likely face significant minute restrictions and could be held out during back-to-back sets as a means of avoiding a setback.
