Spurs' Kyle Anderson: Will start again Thursday

Anderson will make his second straight start at shooting guard Thursday against the Kings, Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News reports.

Analysis:

While filling in for Danny Green (quad) in Tuesday's season opener against the Warriors, Anderson was relatively quiet in the resounding win, posting just three points and four boards over 22 minutes. Meanwhile, reserve wing Jonathon Simmons helped key the blowout victory with 20 points, four rebounds, three assists and a blocked shot in 28 minutes, leading some to speculate that he might get in a look in the starting five. It appears coach Gregg Popovich is inclined to stick with Anderson on the top unit, but if the third-year player fails to impress Thursday, he could lose out on those duties to Simmons in the subsequent games to follow.
