Warriors' Zaza Pachulia: Overmatched in Tuesday's Win

Pachulia scored two points (1-1 FG) with three rebounds and one assist over 20 minutes in Golden State's season-opening 129-100 loss to San Antonio.

Analysis:

The Warriors' weaknesses -- interior defense and sloppy passing -- were exposed on opening night. Pachulia isn't the low-post presence that Andrew Bogut had been the last few years, and the Spurs, even without Tim Duncan, pounded the middle, winning the rebounding battle, 55-35. That included an eye-popping 21 offensive boards. Not every opponent will be the Spurs, so Pachulia should be fine most nights against teams that don't bring that kind of interior advantage, but opening night was a reminder of a weakness opponents may try to exploit going forward.
