Heat's Josh Richardson: Will not play Friday

Richardson (knee) won't play in Friday's preseason game against the 76ers, Manny Navarro of the Miami Herald reports.

Analysis:

Richardson is still working his way back from a partially torn right MCL and has yet to resume taking contact, so he's considered very doubtful to be available when the regular season opens Tuesday against the Magic. Dion Waiters, Tyler Johnson and Wayne Ellington should assume all of the minutes at shooting guard to begin the season, but Richardson may cut into the playing time of all three players when he ultimately returns.
