76ers' Jerryd Bayless: Set to miss Friday's game

Bayless (wrist) has been ruled out of Friday's preseason finale against the Heat, Tom Moore of Calkins Media reports.

Analysis:

Friday's outing was the last opportunity for Bayless to get on the court prior to the regular season opener, but it now appears that his absence could very well extend into the regular season. He's yet to be given any sort of concrete timetable for a return, so he'll continue to evaluated as day-to-day in the lead up to the opener on Oct. 26. T.J. McConnell is the expected starter at point guard in his place, while Sergio Rodriguez is also expected to have a larger role.
