Clippers' Chris Paul: Will play Tuesday

Paul (thumb) is active and will receive the start at point guard for Tuesday's preseason finale against the Kings, Rowan Kavner of Clippers.com reports.

Analysis:

Paul sat out Monday's game against the Jazz and had been nursing a sprained thumb for a couple days, but it wasn't anything that ever put him at risk of missing the start of the regular season. He may see only limited playing time in Tuesday's game as a precaution, but look for Paul to settle back into his usual 30-to-35-minute role when the Clippers open the 2016-17 campaign on Oct. 27.
