Pacers' C.J. Miles: Day-to-day with sore knee

Miles (knee) is considered day-to-day and is set for further examination later in the week, Scott Agness of Vigilant Sports reports. "[Miles] didn't practice [Monday]," McMillan said. "Don't expect him to practice [Tuesday]. So really, it's day-to-day. I think he's starting to feel a little better, but he's doing nothing with the team right now. Everything is with our trainers and just trying to rehab and recover."

Analysis:

Miles played in the Pacers' first preseason game back on Oct. 4 but has not been on the court since, and coach Nate McMillan intimated Monday that he's unsure when the wing will return. McMillan said he hasn't been told that Miles is dealing with any structural damage in the knee, but noted that the forward is set for a follow-up scan later in the week. At that point, more information with regard to a timetable should be available. Miles is officially listed as doubtful for Wednesday's preseason game against the Bucks.
