Raptors' Kyle Lowry: Sits out preseason game vs. Clips

Lowry (coach's decision) didn't play in Wednesday's preseason matchup with the Clippers.

Analysis:

After starting in both of the Raptors' first two exhibition contests, Lowry was given Wednesday off to rest. His absence allowed undrafted rookie Fred VanVleet to start in the backcourt alongside DeMar DeRozan, but he came through with only three points (1-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt) and three assists in 21 minutes. Look for Lowry to get back on the court in the Raptors' next exhibition game Oct. 13 against the Cavaliers.
