Celtics' Gerald Green: Out vs. 76ers

Green (hip) won't play in Tuesday's preseason game against the 76ers, Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Analysis:

Green sustained a hip flexor injury during practice last week and remained limited during Monday's session. With no reason whatsoever to rush him back, the Celtics will hold Green out Tuesday, and he'll shift his attention toward a potential preseason debut Thursday against the Hornets.
