Clippers' Wesley Johnson: Will compete for starter's role

Johnson will battle for a starter's role throughout training camp, with coach Doc Rivers indicating Tuesday that the competition for the small forward spot is "wide open," Dan Woike of the Orange County Register reports.

Analysis:

Johnson, Luc Mbah a Moute and Alan Anderson all saw looks with the top unit at Tuesday's practice, and the trio will presumably continue to fight for starting honors all throughout camp. While the fantasy upside is limited for all parties, Johnson probably holds the most appeal of the lot for his contributions in three-pointers, steals and rebounds. If he's able to take command of the starting role and dominate the minutes at the position, Johnson could be worthy of targeting in the later rounds of deep-league drafts.
