Fred Hoiberg's once rocky relationship with Chicago Bulls shooting guard Jimmy Butler appears to have been mended.

"We had a lot of conversations and I don't see any issues with Jimmy Butler and I," Hoiberg told Vincent Goodwill of CSNChicago. "The biggest thing as a staff is we have 15 guys that we gotta coach and hopefully put them in situations and utilize their skill sets and get the most out of them."

Butler and Hoiberg's relationship took a turn for the worse last December, when the Bulls shooting guard publicly called out his head coach for a lack of toughness following a blowout defeat to the New York Knicks.

Butler already stated earlier this offseason that the two were "on a pretty good page," saying they've learned a lot about each other since last year's incident.

"Jimmy and I have had a lot of conversations," Hoiberg said. "There's a lot of things (that happened) last year. The big thing was the comment after the New York game. ... We got it handed to us and the comment was made."

With he and Butler now on the same page, the Bulls' bench boss will shift his focus to the upcoming season, where he's hoping for a better effort compared to last year's disappointing campaign.

"We did have a lot of injuries but there's no excuse for me," he said. "I've got to get them playing more consistent basketball."
