Carmelo Anthony added another chapter to his golden international legacy on Wednesday, and he'll forever have a souvenir to commemorate it.

After scoring a tournament-high 31 points in Team USA's hard-fought victory over plucky Australia - and becoming his country's all-time men's Olympic scoring leader in the process - Anthony was presented with the game ball in the team's locker room, according to NBA.com's John Schuhmann.

While Team USA mainstays like LeBron James and Kobe Bryant are either taking the summer off or have recently retired, Anthony has assumed the role of elder statesmen (sometimes in hilarious fashion) on the 2016 team, becoming the first American man to play in four Olympic basketball tournaments.

The two-time gold medalist is averaging 18 points through three games in Rio thus far.
