Nets' Caris LeVert: Runs on treadmill

LeVert (foot) was able to run on a treadmill Wednesday, Andy Vasquez of The Record reports.

Analysis:

It's the first time that LeVert has been able to do any sort of running since undergoing surgery on his left foot back in March. The rookie is aiming to return from a fractured foot for the third time in his young career, and is hopeful to be running at full speed by the time training camp arrives in the fall. Due to his extensive injury history, LeVert may be treated with kid gloves in his first season in the league, but the Nets' decision to spend a first-round pick on him demonstrates that he's viewed as an integral part of the organization's future.
