Another David versus Goliath matchup in the NBA Summer League will soon be upon us, as the No. 24-seeded Minnesota Timberwolves will collide with the No. 2 Chicago Bulls in the finals of the Las Vegas single-elimination tournament on Monday.

Minnesota was seeded dead last after going 0-3 during preliminary action and losing out on a tiebreaker to the Sacramento Kings and Philadelphia 76ers.

Trailing by five at halftime to the Phoenix Suns in the semifinals on Sunday at the Thomas and Mack Center, the Timberwolves rode Tyus Jones' 29 points and six assists to a 50-36 second half and a 93-83 win to advance to the championship game.

Minnesota's victory over Phoenix came on the heels of Saturday's win over the No. 1-seeded Toronto Raptors, although a questionable call during the dying seconds of the game undoubtedly impacted the final result.

The Chicago Bulls sent the Dallas Mavericks and Washington Wizards packing en route to their semifinal matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers after receiving a first-round bye.

Like the Timberwolves, the Bulls needed to rally over the final two quarters, outscoring Phoenix 49-33 during that span to pull out a narrow 85-79 win.

Six players scored in double figures, with Cristiano Felicio dropping 18 points and grabbing six rebounds to lead the way. Denzel Valentine, the 2016 14th overall pick, had 13 points of his own, along with three assists.
