The Memphis Grizzlies officially announced the re-signing of Mike Conley on Thursday. The two sides reportedly agreed to a five-year, $153-million contract - the largest in NBA history.

The Grizzlies announced the signing prior to a press conference open to media and season-ticket holders. The point guard, who has never been named to an NBA All-Star team, decided to re-up with the only franchise he's ever played for after courting interest from the Dallas Mavericks, among others. The Grizzlies also made other noise in free agency, landing forward Chandler Parsons on a reported four-year, $94-million contract.

Conley's deal became the richest in NBA history by virtue of the fact that the Grizzlies could offer a fifth year for $35 million. In 637 career contests for Memphis, the No. 4 pick in the 2007 draft has averaged 13.6 points and 5.6 assists a game on a 53.7 true shooting percentage.

Conley, who turns 29 in October, missed the last 20 games of the 2015-16 season with an Achilles injury.
