Sixers' Okafor upset by trade rumors

Like many young players, Philadelphia 76ers center Jahlil Okafor is having difficulty seeing his name in trade rumors, particularly after a season that saw him earn All-Rookie first team honors.

Fed up with the reports and speculation, the 20-year-old took to Twitter on Sunday to voice his displeasure.

"One second I'm reportedly upset to be in Philly, then the next I'm upset about trade rumors and having to leave Philly," Okafor tweeted. "Which one is it? Sources please confirm. Seems like writers are getting lazy, dropping a fraudulent story and try to make it credible by using that magic word ... Sources! Lol stop it."

While Okafor was one of the lone bright spots for Philadelphia last season on the court, the 6-foot-11 big man struggled off it, getting in multiple fights and incurring a speeding charge during his rookie campaign.

Despite the rumors, Okafor is adamant that he prefers to stay in Philadelphia, hoping to be part of a future contender in the City of Brotherly Love.

"With all that being said, I love where I am and I am excited about his upcoming season," Okafor tweeted. "Big season for us!"
