The Toronto Raptors attempted to trade the No. 9 selection in this year's draft for Oklahoma City Thunder power forward Serge Ibaka, ESPN's Marc Stein reports. The Thunder ultimately refused Toronto's pitch.

Oklahoma City was reportedly trying to shop Ibaka earlier on Thursday, but clearly demanded a larger package for a player of his stature.

General manager Masai Ujiri stated earlier this offseason that the Raptors would look to upgrade at power forward this summer, and Ibaka certainly fits that need.

In 78 games, Ibaka averaged 12.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks on 47.9 percent shooting.

Toronto selected Utah center Jakob Poetl with its first-round pick, instead.
