The Los Angeles Lakers, Detroit Pistons, and Orlando Magic are among the teams that intend to make a run at free-agent center Al Horford, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.

Beyond the free agency of Kevin Durant and the expected formality of LeBron James' opt-out, Horford is probably the next biggest name in the unrestricted marketplace this summer. He's expected to have several suitors, and none of the teams reported Wednesday come as much of a surprise.

The Lakers have been trying to add an established star for several years now, and are out from under the influence of Kobe Bryant. The Pistons were linked to interest in Horford in January, with coach Stan Van Gundy reportedly intrigued at the prospect of pairing him in the frontcourt with Andre Drummond. Meanwhile, Orlando's new coach Frank Vogel would love to add a solid defender and veteran presence to his young team.

Horford, 30, has spent his entire nine-year NBA career with the Atlanta Hawks. He averaged 15.2 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game last season.
