Jazz's Dante Exum: Will be cleared to take contact Thursday

Exum (knee) will be cleared to resume taking contact Thursday, Jody Genessy of Deseret News reports.

Analysis:

It's been nearly nine months since Exum underwent ACL reconstruction surgery, but his being cleared for contact is a positive sign that he'll be back to full health by the time training camp opens in the fall. The Australian point guard is still likely to sit out the 2016 Summer Olympics, but if his rehab continues to go as anticipated, he'll likely open the 2016-17 campaign in the Jazz's starting lineup.
