NBA Commissioner Adam Silver downplayed any conspiracy theories regarding Dikembe Mutombo knowing the Philadelphia 76ers would win the No. 1 draft pick on Tuesday.

Mutombo prematurely sent out a congratulatory tweet to the 76ers for winning the draft lottery - hours before the event had even taken place. The Hall of Famer claimed it was an accident, and Silver said there won't be any ramifications for the mishap.

"They were preparing in the hope that they won and Dikembe accidentally sent a tweet out," Silver told reporters. "What are you going to do?"

Mutombo received an email from the 76ers prior to sending the tweet, asking him to send a congratulatory message should they win the lottery. The email contained several variations he could send, and one was accidentally sent prematurely.

''It was like maybe 30 seconds, then I realized, 'Whoa! What did I do here?''' Mutombo said. ''But it was too late. It was out in the air.''

The 76ers entered the lottery with the best odds at securing the No. 1 pick following a 10-72 season.
