While everyone focused on the missed foul call on DeMar DeRozan that should have been whistled in the final minute of Game 7 between the Raptors and Pacers, it turns out Toronto dodged another bullet earlier in the fourth quarter.

The NBA ruled Tuesday that Raptors center Bismack Biyombo, who went on to log crucial fourth-quarter minutes, should have been assessed a flagrant-2 foul 42 seconds into the final frame.

While fighting for a rebound, Biyombo appeared to swing his right arm backward into the face of Pacers rookie Myles Turner. No foul was called on the play. However, had the correct call of a flagrant 2 been assessed at the time, Biyombo would have been ejected and the Pacers would have been awarded two free throws and possession of the ball.

After securing an offensive rebound on the play in question, the Pacers ended up making a 3-pointer, courtesy of George Hill.

If Biyombo receives another flagrant-2 foul or two flagrant-1 fouls over the duration of the playoffs, he would face a one-game suspension.

DeRozan should have been whistled for a foul on Ian Mahinmi late in the fourth quarter that would have put the Pacers big man on the line with Indiana only down three. The Raptors went on to win the deciding game, 89-84.
