Clippers' Pierce, Rivers, Crawford listed as Game 5 starters

The Los Angeles Clippers' Paul Pierce, Austin Rivers, and Jamal Crawford will start in Wednesday's Game 5 matchup versus the Portland Trail Blazers.

This is a stark contrast to Los Angeles' Game 4 lineup, when Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, and Luc Mbah a Moute were all members of the starting five.

With Paul and Griffin out for the foreseeable future, head coach Doc Rivers was forced to tinker with his lineup, opting for a more offensive approach.

Crawford is averaging 13.8 points per game in four postseason contests, while Rivers is averaging 7.0 points in just 18.8 minutes per game. Pierce is averaging just one point, but has been a historically great performer in the playoffs.

Initially listed as a probable starter Tuesday, Jeff Green will come off the bench Wednesday as the Clippers attempt to take a 3-2 lead at the Staples Center.
