Griffin will sit out Wednesday's regular-season finale against the Suns for rest purposes, Ben Bolch of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Analysis:
Griffin had his final regular-season tune-up in the first game of the Clippers' season-ending back-to-back set in Tuesday's 110-84 win over the Grizzlies, recording 12 points (5-10 FG, 2-3 FT), seven rebounds, four assists, and three steals over 23 minutes. Though he's only played more than 30 minutes in one of his five games since returning from a 45-game absence due to a quad tear, broken hand, and a suspension, Griffin has looked strong in limited action over his last three appearances in particular and should be primed to take on a heavier workload when postseason play kicks off. Along with Griffin, the Clippers, who are locked in as the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference, will rest DeAndre Jordan, Chris Paul, J.J. Redick, and Jamal Crawford for Wednesday's contest.
