Raptors' Lowry upset with recent shooting struggles

Determined to shake his playoff demons, Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry entered his team's first-round matchup against the Indiana Pacers ready to prove his doubters wrong.

Four games in and Lowry has done little to silence any criticism, shooting a ghastly 32.2 percent from the floor and 18.5 percent from beyond the arc.

"I would be lying if I said I'm not upset at how I'm playing right now," Lowry told CBSSports' James Herbert.

Raptors fans have watched Lowry and backcourt mate DeMar DeRozan reach historical levels of ineptitude shooting the basketball.

While Lowry had done a good job of contributing despite his shooting woes through the Raptors' first three contests, the 30-year-old struggled in all aspects of his game in Saturday's Game 4 while allowing opposing point guard George Hill to go 9-of-11 from the field.

For the series, Lowry is averaging 15.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, and four assists - respectable numbers, but still well below his season averages. However, the Raptors' reliance on Lowry has never been more evident, performing 33.4 points per 100 possessions worse when he sits.

With as many as three games remaining, Lowry still has time to turn his fortunes around, showing everyone that his All-Star-level play isn't exclusive to the regular season.
