Gasol (foot) was able to resume walking without crutches Tuesday, Ronald Tillery of the Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.

Analysis:

Gasol's broken right foot will prevent him from rejoining the Grizzlies at any point in the postseason and will also force him to miss the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janiero. While ditching crutches in only a small stepping stone in the recovery process, it's at least encouraging that we haven't heard reports of any setbacks for the center since his late-February surgery. He's expected to be ready to go for the start of the 2016-17 season.
