Earnhardt Jr.'s manager steps down days after accusing Keselowski of cheating
Mike Hoag, manager for Dale Earnhardt Jr., announced on Tuesday that he’ll be stepping down from his position effective immediately, and has no plans on returning to the track.
The news comes two days after Hoag sent out a number of tweets during Sunday’s Cup race at Chicagoland Speedway, accusing Team Penske driver (and race winner) Brad Keselowski of cheating.
The tweets were since deleted, but they still live on through users manually retweeting him:
Pic? RT @MikeHoag88: Anyone else see how much Keselowski's right side skirt was flared out? They cheated it up a bit on that stop Caught ya

The issue that Hoag had was with Keselowski’s right side skirt pushed out (see below). Hoag believed that the modification provided a benefit to Keselowski's car.

After the No. 2 car passed post-race inspection, Keselowski took to Twitter to address Hoag directly:
Ever heard of glass houses @MikeHoag88 ?

On Tuesday evening, Hoag took to Twitter to announce he would be stepping down as Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s manager and at his position with JR Motorsports. No reason was given as to why he was stepping down.
It's with a heavy heart, but I will no longer be with Dale Jr or JRM. It's been a fun ride, enjoyed every moment, on to something new. #KCCO
