NASCAR drivers to wear shoes designed by children's hospital patients

NASCAR/Twitter

Chase Elliott and his Hendrick Motorsports teammates - Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jimmie Johnson, and Kasey Kahne - will be sporting special footwear for a good cause this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

As part of the launch of the Chase Elliott Foundation, the drivers will wear racing shoes designed by five patients at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Elliott will wear two different pairs - one for Saturday's NASCAR Truck Series race and another for Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series race.

The shoes will be auctioned off after the races, with all proceeds going to Elliott's foundation and benefiting the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta summer camp program.
