Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington will finally get the chance to settle their beef inside the Octagon.

The UFC booked a welterweight title fight between the two bitter foes at UFC 245 in Las Vegas on Dec. 14, ESPN's Ariel Helwani reports.

The stacked card also features a featherweight championship bout between Max Holloway and Alexander Volkanovski, while Amanda Nunes will defend her women's bantamweight belt against Germaine de Randamie.

Usman and Covington have been at odds since Usman took the division title from Tyron Woodley in dominant fashion at UFC 235 in March. Covington then secured his No. 1-contender status by beating Robbie Lawler in August. Following the victory, president Dana White declared Covington next in line for a title shot.

But booking the fight proved difficult. Usman fractured his foot prior to defeating Woodley and has been recovering since. Then, the UFC and Covington couldn't come to an agreement on compensation for a title fight.

Covington claimed the promotion didn't negotiate fairly for a potential title bout at UFC 244 at Madison Square Garden in November.

Now, the UFC will get its dream matchup between two of the promotion's hottest fighters. Usman boasts a 15-1 record and a 14-fight winning streak. His last loss came in 2013. Covington is also 15-1 and has won seven in a row.
