Argentina edges Brazil as opening betting favorite for Copa America Centenario
Despite not having won the tournament since 1993, Argentina is the favorite to capture the 2016 Copa America Centenario, sitting slightly ahead of Brazil in opening betting odds released by the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook on Monday.
Finalists in last year's edition of South America's most prestigious competition, Argentine captain Lionel Messi and his talented band of attacking cohorts will need to navigate a group that includes defending champion Chile if they are to make good on their tournament-best odds.

Brazil, looking to claim its first Copa America crown since 2007, has been handed a relatively straightforward group, with Neymar leading the line for a squad that, despite lacking the verve and quality so commonly associated with the Selecao, is still expected to return home with a trophy in hand.
The United States, meanwhile, sit joint-third in the opening betting odds. The Americans, hosting the first edition of the tournament to ever take place outside of South America, are, somewhat surprisingly, being mentioned in the same breath as Chile.
Here is a look at the odds in their entirety:
