Facing a 2-0 scoreline against the Portland Timbers, FC Dallas forward David Texeira took one look at goal and asked a simple question: Why not?
His chipped effort, coming just minutes after his side conceded a second goal in dramatic fashion, cut Portland's lead by one and also gave FC Dallas a treasure - an away goal. With it being a tiebreaker advantage, it could come in handy on the reverse leg of the MLS Cup Playoffs Western Conference Championship.
Texeira capitalized on a defensive error in the box, pouncing with skill and positional sense to chip Portland goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey from close range, making the score 2-1 on the night at Providence Park.
