Juan Carlos Osorio confirms he will leave Sao Paulo to coach Mexico
Sao Paulo coach Juan Carlos Osorio confirmed in a news conference Wednesday that he will leave the Brazilian club to assume the coaching position with Mexico.
Sao Paulo confirmed the news in a statement on Tuesday. Mexico's national team, however, hasn't yet made an official announcement.
"I am making formal my connection with the Mexico national team for the 2018 World Cup preparation," Osorio said, courtesy of ESPN FC. "This is a difficult decision between staying here or taking the role on a very prestigious national team."

A former coach of the Chicago Fire and New York Red Bulls, Osorio will replace Miguel Herrera, who was fired in July despite claiming the Gold Cup. Herrera was caught assaulting a reporter following the win.
Ricardo Ferretti has led Mexico in the interim, and will coach El Tri in the crucial Confederations Cup playoff against the United States on Saturday.
