Giovani Dos Santos out of Confederations Cup playoff with injury

Mexico forward Giovani Dos Santos will not be available for the Confederations Cup playoff against the United States on Oct. 10 after suffering a muscle strain.
His club, the LA Galaxy, confirmed that he picked up the injury during Sunday's 1-1 draw with Seattle. He'll remain in Los Angeles for the remainder of the week.
The Galaxy have a bye next weekend, giving Dos Santos and the rest of the team a chance to heal up before the MLS playoffs begin later this month.
Mexico manager Tuca Ferreti had originally included Dos Santos in the final 23-man squad to face the U.S.
