Giovani Dos Santos expected to return for LA Galaxy on Saturday

Mexican international Giovani Dos Santos is expected to overcome a groin injury and feature in the LA Galaxy's match against Real Salt Lake on Saturday.

The former Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur attacker was substituted at half-time during the 0-0 draw at the Montreal Impact last weekend with the injury, but Galaxy manager Bruce Arena is confident that his inventive designated player will be in the starting XI at the StubHub Center.

"He's doing fine. We plan on playing him," Arena said, as ESPN FC reports.

The Californian club has gone goalless in its last two games, and to remedy the uncharacteristic showings in Montreal and on the road at San Jose Earthquakes, the club could use its playmaker in the number 10 role.

"(You miss) his creativity, his cleverness around the box," Galaxy captain Robbie Keane said on Thursday. "And, obviously, to set people up, he's very, very good at that."
