COLUMBUS - Jason Johnson scored 4 minutes into stoppage time to give the Chicago Fire a 2-2 tie with the Columbus Crew on Friday night.

In the 94th minute, Eric Gehrig sent a cross into the box, where Johnson was able to head it past Steve Clark.

Chicago (3-5-2) trailed the entire match until the equalizer. The Fire have played to draws in their past two matches and are winless in four straight.

Kei Kamara struck for Columbus (4-4-3) in the eighth minute, tapping home Ethan Finlay's pass at the top of the 6-yard box for his eighth goal of the season. Kamara scored again in the 55th minute, on a header of a feed from Kevan George.

David Accam halved the lead just 3 minutes later, heading in a cross from short range by Kennedy Igboananike.

Quincey Amarikwa had a golden opportunity for the equalizer in the 81st minute, but his right-footed effort from the center of the box off a cross from Accam sailed over the crossbar.
