The Seattle Sounders clinched a franchise-first MLS Cup final berth on Sunday courtesy of a 3-1 aggregate win over the Colorado Rapids.
And with it, the team was awarded the Western Conference Championship trophy, one the jubilant players and staff celebrated with a traveling throng of supporters.
The Sounders rank among the best-supported teams in MLS and the players will secretly hope the Montreal Impact best Toronto FC in the upcoming Eastern Conference second-leg clash Wednesday, as only a Montreal win would allow Seattle to host the MLS Cup final.
