Orlando captain Kaka set to miss Red Bulls clash

Orlando City captain Kaka is set to miss his second consecutive game - and his ninth of the 2016 MLS season - as his side takes on the New York Red Bulls on Wednesday night at Red Bull Arena.

Kaka picked up a calf strain and was taken off at halftime of the Lions' 4-0 loss to FC Dallas last weekend and was subsequently left out of the team lineup in Orlando's next match against the Houston Dynamo.

Calf strains and hamstring problems have hampered Kaka's 2016 campaign, with the Brazilian icon missing a pair of matches between May 29 and June 18, as well as a pair of matches in the last week of April.

Kaka also missed the first three games of the 2016 season as he recovered from a preseason injury.

The former AC Milan and Real Madrid attacker has three goals and five assists in the nine matches he has managed to feature in, adding to a tally of nine goals and seven assists in 28 league appearances last season with the club.
