Though omitted from the Brazilian roster, Kaka isn't ready to fade from the limelight any time soon as the Orlando City captain made his return to training ahead of Friday's match against the New York Red Bulls.
The iconic midfielder has been sidelined in recent week with a groin injury, but Lions head coach Adrian Heath provided a positive update regarding the status of the team's skipper:
"He's day-to-day, but he’s training every day," Heath said, according to Dave Zeitlin from MLSsoccer.com. "Barring any issues overnight, he'll be OK."
This season, Kaka has featured in just three of Orlando City's eight fixtures, scoring two goals and recording two assists.
