The Colorado Rapids will be without winger Marco Pappa for two-to-four weeks after the Guatemalan international suffered a left knee MCL sprain, the club announced Monday.
The injury occurred during a 2-1 win over the New York Red Bulls in a knee-on-knee collision with defender Kemar Lawrence in the 71st minute.
According to the club, the sprain won't require surgery and Pappa has begun rehabilitation.
Pappa, who joined the Rapids in the offseason, leads the team with three assists and has one goal in 2016.
