VIDEO: Votto makes great diving stab, fools cameras

Wake up, camera people.

Joey Votto showed his glove is in midseason form during the Cincinnati Reds' spring game Wednesday against the White Sox by making a beautiful pick on a ground ball that took a bad hop.

In the midst of his spectacular stop, though, his pump-fake attempt to nail the runner at second fooled the camera crew, and they nearly missed the bang-bang finish at first base.

The lesson here: Always keep your head in the game. That's something Votto, the deep thinker, would probably agree with.
