Zack Morris is turning to baseball. Well, sort of.

Actor Mark-Paul Gosselaar, famously known for once playing the role of Morris on "Saved by the Bell," is set to star as a male lead in a pilot for a potential new baseball TV drama titled "Pitch," reports Nellie Andreeva of Deadline.

The series, a FOX project, will follow the life of female pitcher Ginny - played by Kylie Bunbury, best known as Lacey Porter in the television show "Twisted" - who becomes the first woman to play in the major leagues.

Gosselaar will play the part of Hall of Fame catcher Mike Lawson, who shows Ginny the ropes in the big leagues.

It remains to be seen whether Gosselaar and Bunbury's relationship in the series will be as popular as the one between Morris and Kelly Kapowski on "Saved by the Bell," but it certainly sounds like it's got potential.
