Billy Hamilton is one of the fastest players in all of baseball, swiping 126 bases in 279 career games, but he just wasn't fast enough on Sunday.

The Cincinnati Reds outfielder was challenged to a foot race by a young fan during the team's caravan event on Sunday, and the youngster left the speedster in her dust.

Hamilton was a good sport after the tough loss, presenting a signed jersey to his victorious competitor after the defeat.

The 25-year-old underwent shoulder surgery in late September, and is currently hitting, throwing, and lifting weights with the hope of being at 100 percent for the beginning of spring training.
