Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper and Chicago Cubs starter Jake Arrieta walked away with slightly different honors than they were expecting at the annual awards dinner for the Baseball Writers' Association of America on Saturday.

Harper was there to officially receive his National League MVP award, while Arrieta was awaiting his NL Cy Young prize.

However, former Oakland Athletics and San Francisco Giants pitcher Barry Zito awarded the two with some hardware they likely weren't expecting: A spot on Zito's "All-Dreamy Team," a collection of players he believes are MLB's best looking players at each position.

"This was about five years ago, I’m talking to (Giants catcher) Buster Posey and he’s in the row in front of me and I’m going through my starting team and I’m like 'Buster, you’re starting at catcher. Congratulations.' Good looking guy," Zito joked. "He’s like 'Alright, cool. Well first, who am I catching?'"

"Jake was number one starter. Edged out Cole Hamels, so congratulations."

During his speed, Zito delved further into his good-looking criteria, recalling a moment with now-retired pitcher Dan Haren, who was Harper's teammate on the Nationals in 2013.

"And then cut to about a year later," Zito recalled, "My friend Danny Haren is playing for the Nationals and I said 'Danny one of the starters for the All-Dreamy team is actually on your team. Can I get an autograph?'"

"Bryce Harper was the starting right fielder and Bryce signed me a ball that said 'Starting right fielder, All-Dreamy Team' and Bryce I just want to say in person, thank you very much," Zito said.
