Adam Wainwright is a three-time All-Star, two-time Gold Glove winner, and has been one of the top pitchers in baseball since 2007, yet he didn't get the fantasy respect he thought he deserved from a talk show Thursday.

After hearing he had been selected in the seventh round of a fantasy draft by a Sirius XM radio show, the St. Louis Cardinals right-hander decided to defend his fantasy honor by calling into the show to preach his value.

Even though it sounds like Wainwright is having a good laugh at his own expense, his points about his fantasy value may be valid - he's among baseball's best active pitchers in ERA (2.98), WHIP (1.16), and WAR (33.4).

Wainwright missed the majority of last season after tearing his Achilles, but returned after just five months of recovery time to pitch for the Cardinals in the postseason.
