The Colorado Rockies have added another veteran slugger to their powerful offense.

Free-agent corner infielder Mark Reynolds agreed to a one-year, incentive-laden contract with the Rockies on Wednesday a deal that includes a base salary of $2.6 million.

The 32-year-old Reynolds slashed .230/.315/.398, with 13 home runs, 21 doubles, and 121 strikeouts in 140 games with the St. Louis Cardinals last season. He's hit 56 home runs across 405 games over the past three seasons, striking out 397 times.

While primarily appearing at first base, Reynolds also spent time at third base, right, and left field.

The Rockies have been in search of help at first base since declining Justin Morneau's option.
