CHICAGO - The Chicago Cubs claimed left-handed pitcher Edgar Olmos off waivers from the Seattle Mariners on Friday, building the 40-man roster to 37 players.

The 25-year-old Olmos went 1-0 with a 4.50 ERA in six appearances with the Mariners last season, including two starts. He has a career 1-1 record with a 5.21 ERA in 11 major league games, including five appearances with the Marlins in 2013.
