White Sox agree to $1.5M deal with Jacob Turner

Charles LeClaire / USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago White Sox aren't ready to give up on former first-round pick Jacob Turner just yet.

The 24-year-old was non-tendered by the White Sox on Wednesday, but has re-signed with the club for $1.5 million.

Turner was claimed off waivers from the Chicago Cubs in October and never appeared in a contest for the White Sox.

The right-hander has an 11-25 record, 4.97 ERA, and 1.47 WHIP in 61 big-league appearances, 51 of which have been starts.
