Jack Leathersich: Claimed off waivers Thursday

Leathersich was claimed off waivers Thursday by the Cubs, ESPN's Jesse Rogers reports.

Analysis:

Leathersich, a left-hander, did undergo Tommy John surgery in July, so he's unlikely to pitch much in 2016, but it's clear the Cubs like him considering they added him to their 40-man roster prior to the Rule 5 Draft. He's likely still years away from contributing, so dynasty owners shouldn't invest much in him this season.
